It's Wednesday, and it's about 1:30 p.m. I'm in the shop alone. The sound of traffic from Freeport Road, the running furnace, the ticking of the clock are the only sounds. I have spent the last day or so in a bit of a panic state. A lot of "what if" has been going through my head -- what if the credit card stuff isn't set up correctly; what if I can't remember how to do something; what if this is the worst decision I've ever made. So many little monsters running around creating doubt in my mind.
In reality, I know that things are fine. I have an excellent support system in my family and close friends. I have all of the inventory loaded into the point of sale software. The support folks at the point of sale software are amazing, and so if something is goofy there, it'll be fine, too. There are some small details, but I'm sure that I am the only one who will notice them.
Our regular hours, starting Friday, will be:
Sunday: 12 - 4
Monday: 10 - 8
Tuesday: 10 - 6
Thursday: 10 - 8
Friday: 10 - 4
Saturday: 10 - 4
We will have open knitting on Mondays and Thursdays from 6 - 8; but of course, come when you can, leave when you must.
Thanks, everyone, for traveling this journey with me. I know that you're very excited to come visit the shop. Believe me, I'm excited to see all of you!
